Julia Eccleshare's Pick of the Month, April 2016 There is a lot to look for in this ebullient picture book with an excitable, fast-moving moose making its way through the different scenes. No sooner spotted than the moose is off. Travelling first to the city, can you find him in a fire station? A department store? A library? A swimming pool? A school? In illustrations that are reminders of both Where’s Wally? and Richard Scarry, the chaotic but endearing Moose leads readers on a merry journey of attractive and enjoyable animal scenes. Will Moose ever remain still? His final escape is delightful. ~ Julia Eccleshare
The Editor says: “Pre-school boys will spend hours poring over the detail in this brilliantly bold follow-up to Follow that Car. Stephan has packed in so many comic touches, this stand-out picture book is a graphic
delight.”

There's a Moose on the Loose Synopsis
From the creator of Follow that Car, here comes Stephan Lomp's next inventive, interactive picture book with so much to spot in the detailed, energetic scenes. Readers will love tracing the mapped-out route with their finger as they follow Moose on his mad dash across a busy town. Full of bright, zingy colours and lots of animal antics, this zany book will keep children entertained for hours.
A moose is on the loose and in a serious hurry! As he rushes through town, Moose is chased by an ever-growing crowd who are anxious to retrieve all the things that catch on his antlers. He dashes through a swimming pool, a museum, a classroom and even a castle! But where is he off to in such a rush? Hang on, it's a PARTY! Of course! But why is Moose looking so anxious? Uh-oh. Do you think he's forgotten to bring a present? Watch out everyone! Moose is off AGAIN!

About Lucy Feather
Stephan Lomp is the illustrator of Follow that Car. Sometime during primary school he decided he wanted to be an illustrator, so Stephan started making his own comic books and painting pictures for his friends. As an adult, Stephan spent many years working for ad agencies, web agencies and event marketing companies, doing character design and editorial illustrations. Then, in 2009 his first picture book was published. Recently, Stephan has illustrated for several publishers in Germany, Spain and France. He is now working on his own stories, which he can't wait to illustrate. Stephan lives in Dusseldorf, Germany, and his website and blog can be found at www.lomp.de
Lucy Feather Lucy Feather isn’t a real person. It’s the nom-de-plume of members of the editorial staff at Nosy Crow, who often write together with a lot of good humour, tea and chocolate. If Lucy Feather did exist, she’d be married to a very supportive husband. The family would live in Bath in Somerset and Lucy would have a school-aged girl and boy. She’d have a dog, because the children want a pet, and, anyway, she has a bit of a cat allergy. She’d be a better baker than she is a cook, and would lose her temper if her children quarreled, but the storm would blow over quickly as she’d basically be very loving.
