He was sixty and a Private First Class in the Army of the United States, but he had been a corporal and he had had two hemispheres shor from under him, not that he didn't know he was going to lose them, but they said go in with the hemispheres, and he went in with the two hemispheres because he was a soldier and that was what he was supposed to do. And now he was sixty and a Private First Class in the Army of the United States, and it didn't look as though he would live to be a corporal, again.
