LoveReading4Kids Says
Pongo, the young orangutan, and Bulu, the little bat, make friends in this quiet, delightful story and discover each other’s worlds. Bulu is scared in the daytime, but Pongo takes him on a tour of her jungle home and shows him how wonderful the colours, sounds and smells of the day can be. In return, Bulu takes Pongo into his cave and shows her how beautiful it is. Jungle and cave both look gorgeous and welcoming in Sean Julian’s glowing illustrations and the story is gently reassuring for young readers, showing them that new places needn’t be scary, especially if you have a friend to make you feel at home. It will make a particularly lovely book to read at bedtime, just the right amount of adventure and tranquillity.

About
Between Night and Day Synopsis
When Pongo, a young orangutan, reaches for a ripe mango, she gets a big surprise! Clinging to the fruit, and very confused, is a little bat called Bulu who can't find his way back to his cave in the busy daytime forest.
Pongo soon learns that for a creature who is used to the shadows of the night, the day can be a very scary place. When they finally find Bulu's home, the roles are reversed, and Pongo must venture into a dark and unfamiliar world.
Can the two animals find somewhere between night and day, where their friendship can blossom?
Sean Julian’s magnificent illustrations evoke the atmosphere of a rainforest environment.
A perfect title for children who are scared of the dark.
