Red’s mum tells her to follow the heart flowers on the safe path through the city when she sets off to deliver a cake to her grandmother. But the wolfish city soon draws her in and Red is lost. It is only when she remembers what is important to her that she can find her way again. This retelling has a strong contemporary feel.

About Marie Voigt
Born in former East Berlin, Marie spent her childhood painting, acting, writing and wanting to save the world. Or be an actress, a painter or a filmmaker. But with degrees in Multimedia Technology and Marketing she got various jobs in TV, advertising, branding, events and graphic & web design, but nothing ever felt quite right. That was until Marie realised that making picture books allows her to combine all her passions and skills in the most fulfilling way. Following some very intense years of self-directed author/illustrator training and self-discovery, Marie is finally back where she started, but better. Because with picture books she gets to be a writer and a director, an actress and a painter all in one. And this time she knows it’s exactly what she should be doing.
