Age 5+. There are a host of familiar and well-loved poems in this beautifully presented anthology. Dipping in and drawing out classic favourites such as W.H Auden’s 'The Night Mail' with its rolling rhythm that matches the sound of the train or Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s magisterial 'Kubla Khan' is a delight while the addition of a handful of contemporary poems by John Agard, Roger Mcgough and Brian Patten serves as a reminder that there are always wonderful new poems to add to the list. A perfect introduction to poetry.
