LoveReading4Kids Says
Four crazily funny stories featuring everyone's favourite witch, her big black cat, Wilbur, and a zany supporting cast of new characters. The bestselling Winnie the Witch is not one to miss out on the excitement of the Olympics. In the true spirit of the Games, she's determined to celebrate and compete in every way possible. Reading of Winnie's passion for all things Olympic - and how her long suffering cat Wilbur gets involved too - brings out all the excitement of the games - especially as there is more than a touch of magic thrown in too. Korky Paul's exuberant black line illustrations complement the humour, slapstick and moments of real drama that run through each story. Pure magic!
A small number of children were lucky enough to be invited to read and review Mini Winnie which is the first Winnie Young Fiction title. Here's a taster....'Each page of the book is crammed full of really cool jokes and Korky Paul’s illustrations are great, making me chuckle away for hours. It’s a fantastic book and I can’t wait to get hold of more of the series to see what Winnie gets up to.'....

Winnie Goes for Gold Synopsis
2012 is the 25th Anniversary of Winnie the Witch!
We know that Winnie has a heart of gold. Why else would she decide to entertain her sisters, uncle, aunt, and cousin in her own home? Why else would she want to do her bit to reduce energy consumption and help save the world's wildlife in the process? Why else would she offer to give a frazzled mother a break and look after her fractious baby? But when it comes to the school sports day, Winnie brings a touch of Olympic magic (even if that magic doesn't go quite to plan) and really does 'go for gold'!
