Well-loved Winnie the Witch is back in four new adventures each as madcap as the one before! Entranced by a visit to the circus, Winnie decides she’ll have a go herself. Inevitably, Wilbur the cat gets involved too and the results are unexpected to say the least. Other adventures include post-party blues, Winnie’s attempts at metal detecting and the unusual shopping trip Winnie goes on when the cupboard is bare. Every adventure is wittily illustrated by Korky Paul.
A small number of children were lucky enough to be invited to read and review Mini Winnie which is the first Winnie Young Fiction title. Here's a taster....'Each page of the book is crammed full of really cool jokes and Korky Paul’s illustrations are great, making me chuckle away for hours. It’s a fantastic book and I can’t wait to get hold of more of the series to see what Winnie gets up to.'....
Everyone knows Winnie can be a little batty. In 'Big Top Winnie' Winnie and Wilbur enjoy some clowning around; in 'Winnie's Bubble Trouble' Wilbur must save Winnie from floating away; in 'Winnie Digs Deep' Winnie and Wilbur hunt for buried treasure; and in 'Winnie Goes Batty' Winnie and Wilbur are about to rustle up some batburgers in the kitchen when they discover that bats are actually sweet little creatures and should certainly never be on the menu!
Four hilarious stories featuring Winnie and Wilbur and a zany supporting cast. Korky Paul's exuberant black line illustrations complement the humour, slapstick, and moments of real drama in each story. 'Funny, mischievous, silly, and exciting. Great stuff.' Giles Andrea, author of Sir Scallywag and the Golden Underpants.
The spellbinding new look of this bestselling series celebrates the wonderful relationship shared by Winnie and her cat, Wilbur. Since 1987 they have been delighting children and adults all over the world and more than 7 million books have been sold. Winnie and Wilbur will be hitting TV screens worldwide in 2017, airing in the UK on Milkshake, Channel 5's popular pre-school slot. A Winnie and Wilbur stage show is set to run in Birmingham in 2017 followed by a national UK tour. A new look for the website, too! www.winnieandwilbur.com
