Amit Pillai is a 17-year old who spent his growing years in the US. Subsequently he moves to a small town in Kerala along with his parents. There is a stark contrast between the colourful life he led in the USA and the idyllic surroundings in a small Kerala town. Amit is the 'soft boy' and being an NRI he joins the Ananthapuri International School. After Amit joins the school he realises that everything out there is faux Americana. Though he makes all attempts to fit in he finds it difficult. He has to deal with newfound teenage love as well as carving out a new identity for himself. He is unable to decide on where to draw the line. In the midst of all these a series of shocking events rocks his fragile existence.
