A kind-hearted and intuitive account of a young woman dealing with the private issues in her life, chiefly the death of her father. She joins a gang of artistic friends through the Wish catering company and she begins to understand how to live her life properly and happily without suppressing all her emotions. Macy’s journey is one of self-discovery and learning to accept the past. Highly recommended for young adults.
On the outside, Macy Queen is cool and calm. On the inside, she's breaking. Silently struggling with her Dad's death, Macy is smiling her way through - she's 'fine'. It's only when she meets a group of new friends that she realizes she can wear her heart on her sleeve sometimes. Because life doesn't stop when someone disappears.
