July 2012 Book of the Month. Best-selling Louise Rennison is as howlingly funny as ever as she sticks with a drama theme in this hilarious follow-up to Withering Tights. Tallulah Casey is back for a second summer at Dother Hall, the holiday theatre school in Yorkshire. The acting is fun but it’s the snogging, boy-fest, madcap adventures that really lure Tallulah back – and reel the readers in too.

About
A Midsummer Tights Dream Synopsis
Louise Rennison, nationally bestselling author of the Confessions of Georgia Nicolson series, returns with another hilarious adventure starring Georgia's cousin Tallulah Casey.
In A Midsummer Tights Dream, Tallulah's second great (mis)adventure, things are starting to look up for the budding star. She has been officially admitted to the Dother Hall performing arts program in Yorkshire. Her corkers have done some developing since last term. And she's picked up some advice on snogging from dear old Georgia. So she's ready to return to the stage--and face her crushes again.
But Tallulah will have more than boy drama to deal with. This term's project is Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Tallulah has been cast as Bottom, the fool who spends most of the play with the head of a donkey. Even worse, if the show isn't a complete success, the school won't have enough money to stay open for another year.

About Louise Rennison
Louise Rennison (1951 – 2016) A hugely popular writer and comedian, who wrote brilliantly funny stories for teenage girls including the Confessions of Georgia Nicolson series, the first of which was made into a successful movie.
When Louise was 15, her parents decided to emigrate to Wairakei in New Zealand. Its main claim to fame is that it had some of the most violent geothermal activity in the world. "When we had Sunday lunch in the back garden, the tables heaved and lurched around, and the trees went backwards and forwards. That was because underneath the table, underneath the earth's surface, thousands of cubic feet of molten steam was trying to get out … and kill us!" Louise's dad had his shoes blown off by a rogue bore.
Louise's research for her books required many hours hanging around with 14-year-olds which is, as she said, "Brilliant - the best fun known to humanity. It's all boys, make-up, laughing and, er, that's it.”
