Marshall Corwin is series producer and director of the multi-award winning BBC TV Serious Adventure series and has been on every expedition. Born in Leeds, he’s an Oxford maths graduate and was a teacher before joining the BBC nearly thirty years ago as a recording engineer. He spent ten years in BBC Radio as a producer, presenter and Radio 4 announcer, before moving to BBC TV to join Newsround. As producer of the Newsround Extra documentary series he filmed in some of the world’s most hostile environments from war-zones to rainforests, winning many awards including an International Emmy. After a period producing Tomorrow’s World and major science specials such as Megalab and the 1999 Total Eclipse, he created the Serious Adventure series.
