This title is part of the absolutely excellent MY VERY FIRST ART series from Usborne. This title and its sister titles in the series are a great introduction for young children to art and this one is particuarly good in introducing some of the world's most famous artworks even to chidlren as young as 3 or 4. Paintings have been especially chosen to appeal to this age group and each is accompanied by interesting facts about the artist and the ways in which they worked. 'Try it yourself' sections suggest ways in which young children can experiment with different mediums and techniques to create something themselves.
