This has to be one of the most mad-cap books that's come through Lovereading in a long time! It will be loved by boys in particular and a great one for reluctant readers as well with its short chapters and plenty of eye-catching illustrations to break up the text. If proof were needed we gave it to a 7 year old boy who is not a particularly keen reader - he loved the fact it was a quick read with plenty of laughs along the way and he enjoyed solving the puzzle in the storyline too - in fact he thought it was really great.

About J. D. Smith
JD Smith is the author of the Krow Twins series. This is her first foray into children's fiction after spending many years writing educational books and CD-ROMs for teachers. As a confirmed twitcher, the books merge her enthusiasm for all things feathered with her love of Worcestershire (the setting for the books). She also believes fervently in the preservation and protection of wildlife in the UK and hopes that the Krows will open young minds to the importance of conservation. Juliet is presently busy writing her next book when she has spare time from earning a living as a freelance Editor.
