LoveReading4Kids Says

Too many days have gone by since Shingai last saw his dad. Whilst we never know why his dad is suddenly absent, we do see how difficult it is for this little boy, whose emotions range from sadness to anger and bewilderment.

Shingai misses his dad. He waits by the door willing him to come home and remembers the fun times they have shared. These feelings build and he's suddenly unable to keep them in, and his sorrow and frustration erupt in a flurry of emotion as he trashes the house.

But he's not the only one who is feeling sad and mum, who is normally so steady and in control, starts to cry. Mum and son share their feelings together, and through that, start to see a new future for themselves, A story of hope and love, illustrated beautifully throughout by Maisie Paradise Shearring.
