Noah gets a surprise when he takes his favourite book to school for show and tell: the characters jump off the page and start causing mischief! It’s not just the alien in his lunchbox, there’s a goblin splashing paint around the classroom, and a dragon in the playground (she’s roaring at the little ones). Fortunately, Noah manages to herd them all back between the pages ready for storytime, where they play their part in the story, causing giggles all round.
Children will love the naughtiness of these mischievous characters and they’ll appreciate the story’s message about the real magic of books too. The jolly rhyming text speeds us along but there’s lots to discover in the illustrations.
