LoveReading4Kids Says
Biting on the award-winning vampiric cloak-tales of Small, Hannah Moffat’s Small Bites Back is undeniably big on zany humour and all-out, anarchic action. There might be giants, and there are definitely vampire dentists in this illustrated romp for newly-independent readers.
Speedily paced, with entertaining dialogue inviting readers to do the voices and keep reading way beyond bedtime, Small Bites Back sees Harvey (the Chosen One) and best friend Walloping Toenail venture to the Vampire Mountains on a quest to uncover exactly why the Never-Ending Contracts gained never-ending status. Within mere pages, a pair of “unspeakable zombie clowns” have infiltrated the plot, and it’s not long before Viscount Bloodsucker, master of a school for vampire dentists, makes an appearance.
It’s crazy, it’s chaotic, it’s a fang-tastic, fire-cracking explosion of adventure. As such, Small Bites Back is a sure-fire winner for reluctant readers who struggle to concentrate. Think of it as a remedy for readers who usually fight fang and coffin nail to do anything but read!

Small Bites Back Synopsis
In Small! Harvey went to a school for giants- but now we follow Harvey and his friend Walloping Toenail into the Vampire mountains as they try to work out what made the Never-Ending Contracts never-ending and tied Norma Enormous and the Skelephant to the Unspeakable Circus.
Something's bitten the contracts. Could it be something with never-ending venom? As the new Chosen One, Harvey thinks it's his job to find out.
Viscount Bloodsucker, head of the school for vampire dentists (polish up your fangs!) promises to help. But Harvey will have to move fast, because the Unspeakable Circus is on his tail, and Mistress Ring has a great idea for a new act - feeding a Small to the zombie lions!
