A fun rhyming story about a family of monsters and the adventure of one of their youngest ogres. Little Bumsy Clump’s life takes a turn for the worse when he chases his lost hat and then gets lost himself. Instead of finding his missing hat, he gets found by some terrible trolls who keep him locked up and make him earn his keep. The story has wit, wonderment, interest and mild peril and the illustrations are lovely. I would happily read this book out loud to children at anytime. The name alone would provide a giggle with younger children and it’s so easy to read with rhythm and act out that I think it would be a firm favourite in a class for story time and I know that it would be highly requested by children to read for themselves. I found Little Bumsy Clump a thoroughly good read and I'm hoping that there will be more exploits for Bumsy Clump and his family to get involved in soon.
