LoveReading4Kids Says
Little SuperJoe is a superhero in the making, at least he thinks he is. He’s certainly always ready to save the world from threats, whether that’s invading space aliens or rampaging dinosaurs. Trouble is, superheroes don’t say sorry for breaking things, and they don’t have time to clear up the mess they make, or that’s what he tells his exhausted parents…
It’s only when he wakes up his baby sister with his dinosaur-scaring roar that SuperJoe realises superheroes do need to say sorry just like anyone else. As he gently strokes her cheek and stops her crying, he’s prompted to say sorry to mum and dad too and to turn his superpowers to tidying.
The story is full of fun and little children will love SuperJoe, and it delivers its message of the importance of consideration and saying sorry gently but very effectively. A shout out too for Emma Proctor’s exuberant illustrations which leap off the page.
