'Can You Catch Santa?' by Kody Evans is a delightful and fun festive story for young readers or for sharing with children from about three years of age, with the simple line drawings throughout being the perfect accompaniment to the text.
The story revolves around Hunter, a nine year old, who also happens to be the school reporter. In the best journalistic tradition, Hunter wants to produce a scoop for his newspaper, so he writes an article asking for suggestions as to how he can delay Santa long enough to be able to ask him all the questions his schoolmates want answers to. Not finding much inspiration from the ideas he's given, he comes up with a few of his own, then cannot wait for Santa's visit on Christmas Eve. Will his tactics work, will he get the interview he's so desperate for?...I wouldn't want to spoil it for you!
This would make a great stocking filler and is an enjoyable read whether your child still believes in Father Christmas or not.
