I think that this is a great inspirational story for kids. Verti-Goat has lots of messages about bullying fears and overcoming those hurdles. This little goat refuses to be just "ordinary". There are wonderful characters in this story and it is well written. I liked that there were lots of messages to provide inspiration for kids. Recommended and make sure this is in your child Christmas stocking this year.
The life of a mountain goat is not an easy one especially if you have a fear of heights. Follow Vergo on his incredible journey and watch him become an unlikely hero. How did Vergo become the Verti-goat? He must learn the hard way that; “We are all running our own race at our own pace” Vergo is different from the tribe, he can’t keep his balance and often falls while trying to climb on the steep mountainside. The first mountain goat in history with a fear of heights, and the other kids let him know it by regularly bullying him. All seems lost for the now nicknamed Verti-goat, luckily, he makes a friend in Penelope pink tail and his confidence grows. Verti-goat stands in the way of not only his and Penelope’s life but the fate of the tribe. “Anyone can change the world, even a mountain goat with a fear of heights”

I think it's a great message to give to children. The only thing I would amend is the illustrations - I think the goats need to look a bit more cuddly and cute.... Read Full Review
