This terrific series, of which this is the second, is smart, cool and sassy. It’s many a girl’s dream to become a spy – it’s certainly at the top of my 11 year old's list – and Spy Girl is a perfect introduction but with that feminine touch. If your girls are enjoying Horowitz’s Alex Rider series they’ll absolutely devour Spy Girls.
From school girl to spy girl - all in a day's work for wannabe secret agent Jazmin Dawson. Jazmin has been given a new mission: to befriend a crucial witness in an international case of identity theft. But when the witness vanishes, Jazmin finds herself at the heart of a dangerous game. Carol Hedges' second "Spy Girl" novel is smart, sassy, and full of put-downs as deadly as an assassin's bullet.
Carol Hedges is the successful author of seven books for children and teenagers. Her writing has received much critical acclaim and her novel, Jigsaw, was shortlisted for the Angus Book Award and longlisted for the Carnegie Medal.
Carol has one grown-up daughter and lives in Hertfordshire with her husband, two cats and a lot of fish.
