This is a nail-bitingly scary but hilarious story by a prize-winning author, featuring a stinking alien commander, eight freaky kids and a pair of faded Y-fronts. When crazy Uncle Otto warns of imminent invasion from outer space, his maths geek nephew Alexander takes on the task of saving the world. He recruits a ragged crew of school superheroes to help him, including Tortoise Boy, armed with Cedric the tortoise, the Human Hurricane, who possesses untold power in his bottom, and Really Annoying Girl. But can this wild and wacky trio ever hope to save the world armed just with a pack of cards, some toy ray-guns and a pair of old pants for help?

Einstein's Underpants Synopsis
An alien spaceship heads for Earth, intent on finding a new (human) food source after gobbling up a couple of cosmonauts in orbit...
A meteorite heads for Earth, unknowingly set for collision ...
An underground volcano on Earth is close to eruption and will cause untold destruction and tidal waves of unimaginable proportions...
So, Earth is pretty much doomed. The only thing standing in the way is James. And his mate Melvyn, the unluckiest boy ever known. And a pair of pants that used (possibly) to belong to Einstein and give genius powers to whoever wears them. On his head. James and Melvyn don't even know that they are meant to be superheroes, until James' mad scientist uncle is hauled off to the loony bin, leaving behind instructions for James.
The boys start to pull together a team of kids who all have their own powers - there's. The Hurricane, a boy who can fart in tune; Tortoise Boy, a boy who has ...erm...a tortoise; Felicity, who's really good at organising stuff; and, Really Annoying Girl, who always knows what you're going to say before you say it. Together they must stand to battle the aliens and save the entire planet. Yes, you're right. Earth is doomed.
