As you may well know, we have a section of our site where we proudly display our Star Books – the books that really stand out from the crowd of the thousands of books published and the hundreds of books we select and read every year here at Team LoveReading4Kids.
Similar to 2019, we will again in 2020 be running a competition to win the Star Books, but this year we plan to run it a little differently.
We have launched a brand new competition for you to win the first batch of LoveReading4Kids 2020 Star Books. These are also the first batch of LoveReading4Kids Books of the Year 2020.
The books chosen are our Star Books which are added onto the Star Books channel as soon as they are read.
They are a selection of titles that our experts have absolutely adored, the books that really stand out for them!
This competition will run for three months, from April 1st-30th June, so there's plenty of time for you to enter!

I've always had an interest in the ancient cities and their culture so 'Paolo, Emperor of Rome' by Mac Barnett appeals to me, but the books that I would probably want to read first is 'What Momma Left Me' by Renee Watson as it is a subject matter that many people will relate to on some level and should be a good story too.karen h - 7th May 2020

I think that 'Love your body' is such a needed book in the children's market right now. So many children are on social media (Some who shouldn't be due to their age!) that constantly feel like they are not perfect enough or are trapped in the wrong body. What Momma Left Me by Renee Watson - this would be a great book for my 13 year old daughter to read - it would give her some perspective on different cultures and help her realise just how lucky she is to live in the UK.
