All you fans of Tom Gates will be delighted to know that Sky has commissioned a second series of The Brilliant World of Tom Gates from TG Entertainment Limited.
The series is in production and will be available on Sky Kids and streaming service NOW in early 2022. Sky has also commissioned new songs from the Tom Gates songwriting team of Mark Flannery, Martin Cooper and Liz Pichon to create a new short-form music series. There will also be a seasonal special.
Liz Pichon commented: "The show is exactly the sort of programme that I'd have loved and got totally obsessed with when I was a kid" - and we couldn't agree more!
The programme is based on Liz Pichon's bestselling series, published by Scholastic. Pichon is also co-writer and presents the Draw It sections of the series, which combines 2D and stop-motion animation with live action. The series blends the humour of the books with crafting ideas and makes, with interactive games, gags and songs.
In case you've been hiding under a rock, Tom Gates is a boy who is more focused on doodling and biscuits than his school work. His life is full of beady eyed teachers like Mr. Fullerman, his school friends, the annoying Marcus Meldrew and grumpy sister Delia!
The second series sees Tom embark on more adventures with his best friend Derek and Delia.
