Today we are delighted to share the shortlist for The LoveReading4Kids Poetry Prize 2021 in association with National Poetry Day. We would like to say a huge thank you to all of our young poets who entered in droves this year, it really was an absolute treat to read your poems. We were amazed by the talented bunch you are.

It was an immensely difficult task for the judging panel to pin the hundreds and hundreds of entries down to the final 12 for the shortlist.

Now it’s your turn, you are able to vote for your favourite poem on the Shortlist and the People’s Choice Award will be announced on the same day as the overall Judges’ Winner – National Poetry Day 2021, Thursday October 7th.

Good luck to our 12 young poets, and a huge congratulations for getting this far. You are all superstars.
