The third Sunday in July marks World Ice Cream Day – and with the heatwave in full swing, what better way to cool down than to share a few of our favourite books about ice cream, whilst grabbing our favourite cone of course!
Ice Cream Day dates back to the presidency of Ronald Reagan who wanted to dedicate a day to one of America's favourite desserts – and so Ice Cream Day was born in 1984.
Ice cream is also very popular in the UK too! Unilever, the firm behind Walls and Carte D'Or - says that it estimates 12 ice creams are sold every second on average during a UK summer. Wow, that's a lot of 99'ers!
Here are a few of our favourite ice-cream themed children's books.
What's your favourite?
