Susan Holland lives in a seaside village in Kent, but grew up in London and Sussex. She came to teaching late in her career and taught for 22 years before retiring in 2015. Whilst being a teacher at her final post, she encouraged her students' love of books by running a reading group at lunchtimes. This is her debut.
