Robert Forbes Stewart was born in Oxford in 1944. He was an art lecturer in Sligo, Ireland for 18 years. He retired early to concentrate on his art and small farm in county Leitrim, Ireland. He, together with his artist wife Pauline ran a small craft shop/gallery in Sligo town. He has participated in many solo and group exhibitions in Ireland and abroad. He has two sons and grandchildren.
