Rita M. Hopkins is married, with sons, grandchildren and great-grandchild. She worked in two schools for 25 years in various capacities. She is now retired, and able to spend more time writing for children, which she enjoys. In addition to reading, she likes reading and spending time with children as well as walking her dog, Talia.
