Philippa Hawkins lives in a small Welsh town with her husband and mischievous cat, Tiggy. For many years she ran her own successful business and since retiring has enjoyed spending time with family. She was always keen on making up stories for her younger grandchildren and recently decided to put pen to paper. This developed into Welly the Elephant and to date she has written a series of thirteen Welly books. She is particularly keen to write stories with a moral and hopes to teach important life lessons to young children.
