Matthew Johnstone is a New Zealand-born author, illustrator and photographer. His illustrated titles I Had a Black Dog and Living With a Black Dog are published in numerous languages around the world. Matthew works part-time at the Black Dog Institute, helping people understand mood disorders and teaching them how to build resilience. He lives in Sydney with his family.
