Helen Farrugia is from a small town in the United Kingdom called Clacton-on-Sea, is happily married and has a son who inspired her other books. Although she was diagnosed with autism she hasn't let it hold her back from achieving her dream; in fact, she has embraced it and doesn't see it as a disability at all but as a different ability. Helen has had various articles written about her and has donated a lot of her previous books to various children's hospitals around the UK. All of her books hold a message to children about diversity and how just because someone is different doesn't mean they are bad, the message in this book is always to believe in yourself.
