Estelì Mezawas born in Mexico City. She studied Design and Visual Communication at FAD and received a master'sdegree in Visual Arts from UNAM in Mexico. In 2018, she was awarded A la Orilla del Viento "Picture Book" ContestAward sponsored by Fondo de Cultura Económica for the book El Prìncipe Valiente tiene miedo. In 2013, Estelì wasawarded the FILIJ XVIII "Picture Book" International Award for her book Angustia. In 2017 she received an HonorificMention in Sharjah Ìs Illustration Catalog (United Arab Emirates) and in 2016 she received an Honorific Mention in theNational Poster Contest "Invitemos a Leer" in Mexico. She has published books in Mexico, Spain, the United ArabEmirates, and the United States. Currently, she works for different publishers and magazines
