Erik van Bemmel (1985) is a dutchman born in Nairobi, Kenia. Nowadays he's living in Amsterdam. After working for 8 years as a marketer, he has recently quit his job to fully focus on photography. In May 2016 he graduated 'cum laude' at the Fotovakschool and is selected as New Dutch Photography Talent 2016 and is nominated for the Keep An Eye Award. His style can best be described as conceptual and documentary photography at the edge of society. With his photo's he wants to tell stories and seduce people to think beyond the visual they're looking at.
