Darlene G. Dandan has been directing plays, writing poems and short stories from the young age of 10. The inspiration came from her father who was a public speaker and an amazing storyteller. The author loves volunteer work and sharing knowledge. She was a volunteer trainer for nonprofit organizations giving public speaking workshops to Filipinos in the Dubai. She was a member of Toastmasters International, with multiple clubs in Dubai and has earned the distinction of Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM). She is from Baliuag City, Bulacan, Philippines and is currently based in Dubai U.A.E. The Elephant and The Butterfly serves as her debut as a published author. She has made it her ultimate goal to reach out and impart important life lessons to kids through her writing. Darlene believes that appreciation is the secret to happiness.
