Cynthia Bardes turned to writing children's books in 2010, inspired by her own chocolate toy poodle named Pansy. Since then, Pansy's adventures solving mysteries all over the world have won her a large and loyal audience of kids and parents who eagerly await each new book.
They have also inspired a touring musical play called Poodleful; written and performed by equity New York actors at the Children's Theater of Riverside Theater, Vero Beach, Florida, (the largest independent producing theater in the country) two years in a row. Poodleful was also performed at other Florida theaters and featured at the Lexington Children's Festival with James and the Giant Peach.
Pansy in Australia is the ninth picture book in the Pansy series, there is also an early reader chapter book Pansy's Rainbow.
When not traveling the world researching new Pansy stories, Cynthia lives with her husband David-and Pansy-in Vero Beach, Florida.
