She has more than three decades of publishing experience, is the author of more than 25 books, and actively engages with children, teaching science, nature, and the art of bookmaking. Awards include Junior Library Guild, the ASPCA Henry Bergh Award, the Amelia Bloomer Award, and more. Barbara lives in Colorado.
