Abbey Newton was born and raised in Brisbane, Australia. She graduated from the University of Queensland in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree majoring in Psychology and Sociology. Since then, Abbey has been busy working and exploring the world. It was after reading countless stories to her young daughter, usually over and over again, that she felt inspired to write her first children's book Archie's Hat Party. She currently resides in Southwest Brisbane, with her gorgeous four year old daughter, Ivy.
