Rachel Lawston is the award-winning author of the much-praised Finn’s Garden Friends, Mia Makes a Meadow and Daisy and Jack’s Perfect Pond. When she is not writing, Rachel designs and illustrates books. Growing up in the countryside gave her a deep connection to the environment, which she is passionate about sharing. Living in London now, she knows that there is a world of nature waiting for children – even in the town or city.

Paul Lawston is an environmental education specialist and consultant. He studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge University and has a PGCE from King’s College London. He is a lifelong lover of the natural world and is an experienced educator, having worked for several major museums and environmental charities. Paul is a consultant for HarperCollins, Farshore, Pikku Publishing, Raspberry Books and Welbeck Children’s Books. He is also the Learning Manager at WWT London Wetland Centre.
