Julia Suzuki is a British author of children's literature. She is known for her unique style; threading together adventure and suspense in magical, epic setting, with plots that are topped off with beautiful messages.
Julia's works are nostalgic to the older reader, and exciting to the younger. By her ability to touch the emotions Julia climbs into the readers soul bringing about excitement, hope and promise, as well as new ways of thinking.
Background: As a child, Julia grew up listening to the magical sounds of fair rides and animals from a theme park across the stream at the bottom of her garden in Staffordshire, England. A love of reading, nature and the outdoors fed her colourful imagination and inspired her to become an author.
After working with a Disney licensing company, Julia then worked with tennis ace turned entrepreneur David Lloyd in an international resorts business. Her travels took her to many beautiful places, many of which she used in her descriptive setting for Dragor. Julia studied Speech and Drama with the Royal College of Music and creative writing at University. Julia was awarded the British Arts Council Award in 2014 and is Patron of Reading in her home city of Lichfield. She is also Ambassador of literature for Mini-kin (parental education support).
