Bad parents are the best parents because they give you adversity. Children are kind of like magicians psychologically because when you're a child, you're weak, and you have to deal with your own weakness and your own vulnerabilities. Children are very willful and strong in their own way, and so when they have parents who ignore them or who are abusive, they find a way to somehow compensate for that. The compensation often leads to being great artists, great political figures, great actors. People who had parents who are loving and cuddling them and wonderful they grow up thinking that life will be like that, they are entitled, they are privileged, and then they enter the work world and are punched by reality. They are manipulated because they don't know how to tackle the manipulations, they don't have any internal skills or strength because everyone was so loving and wonderful to them, but life isn't like that.
